Born to an Ecuadorian father and Hungarian mother, Torres appeared in a television singing contest series as a vibrative artist mixing up some complex cultural heritage and an indefinitve way to music composition, involving reggae, rock and latin music. His first album, Versus was released by SONY-BMG in 2005 with his former band the Veni Styx, and went on to receive the GOLDEN DISC award. Including the hit „Europunk”, a redubbed version of Manu Chao’s Mr. Bobby, and a renowned Latin-American songwriter’s Fumemos un Cigarillo, it has been acclaimed as the best modern rock album in the Bravo OTTO gala, and has been nominated at the Fonogram Award gala. After two years the album Revolutio hwas released, also under the label SONY-BMG, noting the hit „3 az 1-ben”, which has been chosen for commercial purposes for a famous Nescafé product, and the songs „Fegyverem az adrenalin” and "Good Night Joe", which are still visible by rotation on the Hungarian division of MTV Music Television. This album has been nominated as the best modern rock album at the 2008 Fonogram Award gala.5>
After breaking up with the band, Torres enrolled with the famous Lloyd Webber’s Cats! giving life to Mefistules’ character. He continues performing with session bands and composing, getting ready to release his third album. He has been invitied to collaborate with noted Hungarian musicians like Leslie Szabó, Gábor Lepés and author/scriptwriter Peter Noel. He began to work actively as a producer and songwriter, his first work being noted for Alexandra Bagosi, finalist of the hungarian X-Factor, with the song titled „Awakening”, and also produced the score for the television series „Fiesta” on spanish football. Apart from doing extensive acting work both in film and theatre (among them Kriszta Szalay’s GRAMP, the musical Godspell, spanish series Las Aventuras de Capitán Alatriste, just to mention a few), he enrolled to produce the score for the upcoming making of the Kéktúra 2015 television series, which will be presenting one of the best known trekking trails in Hungary, focusing on the cultural and natural heritage the country has to offer.
